138’s content production department recently signed a contract with cycling’s governing body the Union Cycliste International (UCI), which includes being responsible for producing social media video content across multiple disciplines throughout the 2021 season. 138 has been charged with producing the race highlights for YouTube, as well as numerous short social media formats for the UCI’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter feeds.
Disciplines and events include the UCI Mountain Bike World Cups, UCI Mountain Bike World Championship, UCI Track World Championship, UCI Track Nation Cups and UCI Road World Championships. The 2021 Cyclo-Cross season and the UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships last January in Oostende, Belgium have already been successfully completed.
Since 138 took charge of the UCI’s social media content production, views have increased, engagement has grown and the people at UCI have been impressed: “We are super happy with the content provided by 138. They really understand the sport and know what cyclists want to see. Their knowledge and experience in social media video production makes them a valuable partner for the UCI,” says Zack Cooper, UCI Social Media editor.
138’s Creative Director, Philipp Reiff, and his team of social media specialists are thrilled about the opportunity to work with the international federation for cycling: “We are honoured to be working for the UCI and to be helping them grow their social media channels. Our passion for cycling has been well-documented in our PR work for clients like Giro, Supersapiens, Dainese and IAA Mobility, so in addition to bringing our experience in video content to the table, getting the opportunity to support the UCI is the perfect fit for 138.”
